Smiling is one of the simplest yet most profound gestures we can share with others. It transcends language, culture, and even distance, making it a universal expression of kindness and connection. As an achievement and accountability coach, I’ve witnessed firsthand the incredible power a smile can have—not just on others, but on ourselves as well.
I love smiling! I often receive compliments about my smile, and I truly appreciate them. There’s a noticeable difference in how I feel when I smile compared to when I frown. Many years ago, I conducted a seminar on living happily, where I had attendees smile for five seconds and then frown for the same amount of time. I asked them, 'Do you feel the difference between the two?' Unsurprisingly, everyone agreed they felt much better when smiling. That’s the incredible power of a smile!

When we smile, our brains release endorphins and serotonin, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals.
